The AA Size Batteries are used to power the Cassette Player.
Shenmue II[]
The AA Size Batteries can be transferred to a new Shenmue II save from a cleared Shenmue I save with them in the inventory. This can only be done in the Dreamcast version and the 2018 re-release Shenmue I & II, since Shenmue I was never released on the original Xbox.
They can be sold for money at the Green Market Pawnshop in the Green Market Quarter, Wan Chai and at the Great View Pawnshop and Kowloon Pawnshop inside the Great View Building in the Thousand White Quarter, Kowloon. Other than that, they can be kept to have as a part of the collection.
Trivia[]
- Although the AA Size Batteries aren't normally obtainable in the Xbox version of Shenmue II, they can be added to your inventory through modding since the code to enable them is still within the game's files.
