Akane Hazuki (芭月茜 Hazuki Akane, née unknown) was the mother of Ryo Hazuki and the wife of Iwao Hazuki. She died of an illness when Ryo was only three years old in 1971 or 1972. Her name was revealed in Shenmue III.

At Man Yuan Temple, Yuqing Chen, the resident monk there is able to find an Ema that Iwao wrote for Akane during his time at Bailu Village and it says "Akane... I promise to return. Wait for me...".
