Plot[]

Ryo is tasked with working at the temple to pay for his rent there. In the meanwhile, Ryo searches for martial artists to teach him the remaining two principles of Wude. His search makes him meet the old lady from the Yan Tin Apartments who is later revealed to be Guixiang a practitioner of Wude and informs him of the principle Yi.

Summary[]

Ryo has a dream in his room about Lan Di meeting Shenhua and once he awakens, Fangmei visits him, and relays a message from Lishao. She wants him to meet her at the Man Mo Temple and orders him to move the books inside the library outside to dry. Before Lishao is able to leave, Ryo asks to be able to meet Yuanda Zhu, but she refuses. While working on his task, Ryo falls off a ladder while trying to fetch some books and falls on his bum and is then scolded by Fangmei.

Joy learns from the hotel manager that Ryo paid his rent in full and left the place. Back to Ryo and Fangmei, they air out the books they brought out on a table and Fangmei informs Ryo that they'll stop for today, but continue doing that for a week. Although Ryo dislikes that Lishao ordered him to do such a task, Fangmei reminds him that it's a way for him to pay the "rent" for staying there and leaves saying they put the books back at 3 o'clock. After chatting with Hanhui about the task he completed, Ryo recalls the words related to Wude by Jianmin and Zhoushan. Therefore, Ryo decides to find more martial artists and in this search, he literally bumps into the old lady from the apartment building and nearly breaks the package that she was carrying. As punishment for this, the old lady has Ryo carry the package to its destination the Hong Kong Tea Shop and upon opening, it reveals that it was a tea set. The old lady gives a brief backstory about the set and leaves while the waiter at the shop serves Ryo some tea.

Meanwhile, Wong unsuccessfully steals from Joy and she asks if he's seen Ryo around, but claims that he hasn't, but will for a price. At the temple, Fangmei finishes hanging up the laundry and informs Lishao that Ryo and she finished his task together. Back to Ryo, who is met by Wong and Joy, he informs them of his current living situation and how he's seeking martial artists. Wong mentions one at a place called Pigeon Park and they immediately head there to find a woman practicing there. The woman asks if he's a martial artist and in response, she asks to spar with Ryo who declines. Despite this, the woman attacks Ryo and successfully defends himself against her and asks if she's a practice of Wude. She admits that she isn't but recommends someone who maybe. The person in question is another woman who works at a supermarket and upon learning that Ryo is searching for a martial artist, she throws a punch at Ryo who catches it. Impressed by Ryo's skill, Ryo then asks if she knows of Wude, but answers in a perplexed manner.

Elsewhere, Lishao and Fangmei encounter a boy and girl being confronted by two male assailants. Lishao deals with the men by intimidating them with her presence, while Fangmei guides the young ones to a safe location. Checking up on the kids, the boy claims that he wants to get stronger so he can protect his younger sister. Hearing this, makes Lishao reflect on a dark memory of hers and admonishes the boy from ever pursuing such an endeavor. She along with Fangmei then leave the scene. Within the restaurant Ryo, Wong, and Joy sit there and witness a dispute between a Landshark and a man. Wong then gives an explanation on the ongoing redevelopment project and how the Landsharks are involved. Joy also gives some information related to the topic as well. The clock in the restaurant then strikes 4 o'clock making Ryo realize that he was supposed to be back at the temple.

Back at the temple, Fangmei scolds Ryo for his truant nature and when she hears that Ryo is searching for a man named Yuanda Zhu, she claims that she's never heard of the man. Lishao overhears the conversation between the two and apologizes on Fangmei's behavior. Returning to the restaurant, Wong and Joy talk about Joy's obsession with Ryo, and overhear the waiter talk to a customer about the recent developments in the South Carmain Quarter. The waiter reveals that a martial artist has the place under control and mentions that the Yan Tin Apartments is on the chopping block as well. Again at the temple, Fangmei talks with Lishao about Ryo and is tasked to close the gate to the temple. She then overhears a conversation between Hanhui and Ryo about his search to learn more about Wude. From this conversation, Ryo learns how narrow-minded he was in his search for Yuanda Zhu and has an epiphany of what his father once told him. Joy and Wong then arrive and inform Ryo of a martial artist named Guixiang who lives at the Yan Tin Apartments. Immediately Ryo heads off to the area and is followed by Fangmei.

Guixiang turns out to be the old lady from the Yan Tin Apartments and was surrounded by a large group of male assailants. Two of which were from earlier that day who confronted the boy and girl. Ryo arrives at the scene and deals with the assailants and once their delt with the old lady claims that Ryo's epiphany is one of the teachings of Wude called Yi and introduces herself as Guixiang. Returning to the temple, Ryo informs Liashao of the principle of Yi. In turn, Lishao admits that she refused to help Ryo because of the fire of revenge that burned inside of him and her refusal to have a hand in such an endeavor. Fangmei then formally apologizes to Ryo and gives him a hint to Yuanda Zhu by mentioning a book called Wulinshu in the library. Ryo then finds the book in the library.
