Koji Yabe (矢部 光次 Yabe Kōji) is a biker who can be seen around Dobuita, Yokosuka. Koji is a friend and fellow motorcyclist of Shingo Mochizuki.
Biography[]
Koji is both short-tempered and mean. He tunes his own motorcycle and brags about it, just like Shingo. He sticks to Shingo like glue and the two are always hanging around together. He is almost always rude when talking to people like Ryo Hazuki, except when addressing skilled mechanics like Goro Ono.

- The name Koji means "light" (光) (ko) and "next" (次) (ji).
- Koji's surname Yabe means "arrow" (矢) (ya) and "part, department, category" (部) (be).

- Koji's zodiac sign is Aries and he has a B blood type.
- Gao, an antagonist in Shenmue III who is a member of the Blue Spiders gang bears a strong resemblance to Koji.
