Linjian Chuan (伝林堅 Yún Lín Jiān) is an assistant instructor at the Guang Martial Arts School in the Green Market Quarter, Wan Chai. He is often seen standing guard with Mingzhen Ye at the entrance.
Shenmue II[]
When Ryo Hazuki enters the Guang Martial Arts School for the first time, Linjian and Mingzhen block his path with broadswords. Master Zhoushan then tells them that he's a guest and to let him through.
After Ryo learns about The Wulinshu, and passes the Guang Martial Arts School, Zhoushan can teach Ryo the Wild Throw move as a token of his gratitude for saving his friend Guixiang Lee from the "landsharks" that were threatening her. Linjian acts as the assistant instructor when Zhoushan is demonstrating the move to Ryo. When Ryo is learning the move he performs it on Linjian.
Before Ryo leaves Hong Kong to go to Kowloon, he can say goodbye to Linjian.
Shenmue the Animation[]

Linjian appears in Shenmue the Animation Episode 7. When Ryo enters the Guang Martial Arts School, Linjian and Mingzhen block his path with broadswords, and Zhoushan tells them to let him through because he appears to be a guest.
