Mei Kong (孔梅 Kong Mei) runs the store Kong Mei Goods at the Panda Market within Bailu Village, Guilin in the game Shenmue III. Her grandson Zhuang Kong can be found playing at Sunflower Grove and returns to the shop at night.
Biography[]
Mei is a grandmaster of Kong Tai Chi and was popular enough to star in at least one martial arts film. The poster for the film is on the wall of her store. For this reason, Mei does not explain in detail that her husband was assassinated and that she herself is in hiding after inheriting the legacy of Kong Tai Chi. That is the reason that the character for "Kong" on her store uses a different character to the one used in her name, and she's mourns that her husband did not listen to Chengxu Feng's warnings, although the details she does not explain. She intends to pass on the secret of the Kong Tai Chi style to Zhuang.
Shenmue III[]
When Ryo Hazuki talks to Mei, he will have the option to address her as "granny" or "gorgeous". Choosing "granny" will have her ignore Ryo, and he will think she's "hard of hearing". Choosing "gorgeous" will have her respond to him and say that he's making her blush. Mei will then answer any question Ryo has.
