Qiu Hsu (Hànzì: 許丘, Pinyin: Xǔ Qiū, On'yomi: Kyo Kyū), also known as Qiu Xu, is a character in Shenmue III. He is a rather goofy yet strong martial arts practitioner in Niaowu. He usually trains Liu He Hall, where he can be seen practicing Chen-style Taijiquan. He's a student of Master Xianzi Bei and he's always willing to spar with Ryo Hazuki.
He also appears on the Liu He Hall Shop Card.
Shenmue III[]
Ryo hears that someone sent away some Red Snakes thugs who were harassing the citizens and learns that it was Hsu. Later he will help Ryo to infiltrate The Old Castle to free Shenhua Ling.
Trivia[]
- In the Western versions of the game, his name is spelled as "Hsu" instead of the correct "Xu", probably to avoid confusing him with Guowei Xu. Despite this, he is still listed in the credits as Qiu Xu.
- Hsu shares the same character model and practices the same style of martial arts of Zixiong Su.
- He shares the same voice actor as Longqi Ge.
