Satoshi Nagata (長田 聡史 Nagata Satoshi) is one of the top members of the Mad Angels gang located at the New Yokosuka Harbor District, Yokosuka, Japan in the game Shenmue.
Biography[]
Satoshi worships Terry Ryan and has pledged his loyalty to him. He is a very moody person who handles his subordinates mercilessly when he is not in a good mood. He will do whatever it takes to win and never feels ashamed about using weapons in a fight.
What's Shenmue?[]
Satoshi attempts to attack Mr. Yukawa at You Arcade in order to take the "disk" he wants. However, Ryo Hazuki saves Yukawa from him.
Shenmue[]
Satoshi first appears when Ryo arrives at the Mad Angels hideout to save Nozomi Harasaki who was kidnapped by them. Satoshi begs Terry to let him fight Ryo, but he refuses.
Ryo meets up with Satoshi at 7:00 pm at the harbor the following day to beat up Guizhang Chen as he promised Terry so he would take him to Lan Di and let Nozomi go. However, as both Ryo and Guizhang are on the ground exhausted after their fight, Terry attempts to kill them. They then are forced to take on 70 members of the Mad Angels, and Satoshi is the second boss of the battle. He is armed with a steel pipe, and if Ryo gets hit by the pipe, it does quite a bit of damage to him. Ryo ends up defeating Satoshi.
Etymology[]
- The name Satoshi means "intelligent, clever, bright" (聡) (sato) and "history" (史) (shi).
- Satoshi's surname Nagata means "long, chief, boss" (長) (naga) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta).
