Shenmue Goodies is a mini-game for the Sega Dreamcast's VMU (Virtual Memory Unit).
It could be transferred to your VMU with the Shenmue Passport disc that was included with the original Dreamcast versions of Shenmue by connecting to the internet. When online, in "Everyone's Space", the Shenmue Goodies feature is there where you can send icons and animations of nearly every character in the game to your VMU and they can be viewed when playing the mini-game. Four characters are already pre-installed which are Ryo Hazuki, Shenhua Ling, Wuying Ren, and Niao Sun. Every other character will cost you a Winning Can each, which can be obtained in Shenmue randomly when buying a drink at the drink vending machines.
Although the online server for the Shenmue Passport has been long gone, the mini-game and all the characters come with the fanmade Dream Explorer/VMU tool and can be easily copied to your VMU with the software. [1]

Although the mini-game and the Passport features did not return for Shenmue II, a Shenmue Goodies 2 with icons and animations for some characters in the game are included on a website contained on the discs of the original Dreamcast versions of Shenmue II. It can be accessed by putting the discs into a PC and opening the "Omake" folder to access the html files contained inside.
