Shingo Mochizuki (望月 伸吾 Mochizuki Shingo) is a biker who can be seen around Dobuita, Yokosuka. Shingo can usually be found playing games at the You Arcade with his friend Koji Yabe.
Biography[]
Koji is the only person who can handle his specially tuned motorcycle. Shingo is a well-known speed maniac and the informal leader of his own motorcycle gang. He secretly hopes to lure Ryo Hazuki into his gang because he recognizes Ryo’s potential as a fighter.
Shenmue[]
After Ryo finds out there's a tattoo parlor in Yokosuka from Tony Abrams, and talks to Shingo at You Arcade, he will ask him about his tattoo and where he got it. Shingo says he'll tell him the tattoo parlor's location, as long as he agrees to join their gang. Ryo can choose to accept or decline his offer. If he accepts, he tells him the tattoo parlor is located at Okayama Heights and trusts that he can find it himself. Later, after Ryo meets Charlie Grant at the tattoo parlor, and talks to Shingo in free quest, he'll say that he learned from the tattoo artist, Takashi Takashiro that Ryo had no intention of joining their gang. Ryo apologizes and admits that he lied and Shingo surprisingly is very understanding about it and says it's okay, but then tells him to "scram" and "not to bug him again". If Ryo chooses to decline Shingo's offer, he won't tell him the tattoo parlor's location, and his friend Koji will call Ryo a "loser".
Shenmue the Animation[]

Shingo and Koji very briefly appear in Shenmue the Animation Episode 2 at You Arcade when Ryo is looking for Charlie. He asks them if they know Charlie and they both nod their head "no".
Etymology[]
- The name Shingo means "extend, stretch, open" (伸) (shin) and "I, me" (吾) (go).
- Shingo's surname Mochizuki means "full moon" (望月).
- It can also mean "wish, desire, hope" (望) (mochi) and "moon" (月) (tsuki/zuki) separately.

- Shingo's zodiac sign is Virgo and he has a O blood type.
