The Stone Pit is a location near Bailu Village. It's located deep inside a cave. Here Yunshen Yuan used to go to work everyday, mining and sculpting Phantom River Stone. Here is present a complex mechanism that's linked to huge replicas of the Dragon and Phoenix mirrors.
Shenmue II[]
Shenhua's adoptive father had forbidden Shenhua to go the Stone Pit. But when she goes to the cave with Ryo Hazuki she senses something's wrong and decides to search for him inside. Here they find a letter from Yuan and the Sword of Seven Stars, before the abrupt end of the game.
Shenmue III[]
The game begins in the Stone Pit, where once again Shenhua and Ryo see the mirrors replicas, before leaving the area to search for Yuan in the village.
