Takumi Hagiwara, the Japanese voice actor for Wuying Ren in Shenmue II.
Takumi Hagiwara (萩原 匠 Hagiwara Takumi, born September 15th, 1974) is a Japanese voice actor. Hagiwara was the Japanese voice actor for Wuying Ren in the game Shenmue II. He also provided the motion capture for Ren in the game.
Hagiwara did not reprise his role as Ren in the game Shenmue III and was replaced by Osamu Taira. Since after the end-of-year party held by Yu Suzuki in December 2001, Hagiwara has completely disappeared from the public eye. No one knows his current whereabouts. [1]

- Hagiwara would dress up as Ren for press events and commercials for the first two games, along with Masaya Matsukaze dressing up as Ryo Hazuki and Hazuki Ishigaki as Shenhua Ling.
- Hagiwara was almost going to be the Japanese voice actor for Chai in the game Shenmue.
- Hagiwara is skilled at skiing, motorcycling and Japanese drums.
