The Verdant Bridge (Hànzì: 花橋, Pinyin: Huāqiáo, On'yomi: Hanabashi) is an ancient bridge that is located just outside the Bailu Village. It was completed in 1910 (宣统二年, the second year of Emperor Xuatong) to welcome the envoys of the Emperor, who had been dispatched to Bailu to ask the local stonemasons to sculpt the Dragon Mirror and Phoenix Mirror with the mythical Phantom River Stone. The Verdant Bridge is usually protected by Datong Liu and Shiren Wang who are on guard duty.
